The Mighty Microgreen Project
(Sept/Oct 2024)
This intensive workshop co- created with class teacher Ms Fox, allowed students to immerse themselves into all things microgreen. Each Wednesday for 3 weeks, we planted and grew, cooked with, and learned about microgreens over the entire day. We then took them to the community to sell, and created a digital cookbook so everyone could benefit from the project.
This project connected the students of Kenilworth State Community Collage with the wider community, through the production of healthy microgreens.
Integral to the success of this project:
Pick of the crop who provided funding.
Kenilworth Rural Supplies + Kenilworth Friendly Grocer + the P&C who donated supplies.
H’s Delight + La Petite Maison who sold the microgreens in the store over three weeks.
The community who bought the microgreens.
