The Cup to Community Microgreen Project

(March/April 2025)

Year 4 students connected permaculture, nutrition and community; planted, produced and sold healthy microgreens and donated the proceeds to charity. Inputs, outputs and benefits were explored, learning was experienced in the permaculture garden and the wider community. Local businesses were involved and supportive of the project. The children’s social skills were strengthened, and it was a lot of fun for the students, teacher, parents, vendors, and people who connect with the Cup to Community Microgreen Project.
